Day 3

Enjoy breakfast on your own before a full day of sightseeing. Our sightseeing will begin with a tour of our largest and best-known national park - Yellowstone. The central portion of the park is a broad, volcanic plateau with an altitude of between 7,000 and 8,500 feet. Mountain ranges on almost every side rise 2,000 to 4,000 feet above the enclosed tableland. Yellowstone's most outstanding phenomena are its thousands of thermal spectacles comprising the world's largest geyser basins. Bursts of scalding water spurt high into the air from some geysers, while others bubble and spit in murky depths. There will be time for lunch on our own during today's touring. Dinner will be at our leisure.

Day 4

Breakfast will be on our own this morning. Today's sightseeing will include Sylvan Pass and Shoshone Canyon enroute to the western town of Cody, WY. There will be time for lunch on our own before our next attraction. This afternoon we will visit the Buffalo Bill Museum, plus you will have free time to stroll through town before we check-in to our lodging and enjoy a dinner and show at Cody Cattle Company.

Day 5

After breakfast at the hotel, we will continue our travels. Panoramic views of Shoshone and Bighorn Mountain will enhance our drive as we travel through towns called Greybull, Buffalo, and through Powder River Pass at an altitude of 9,666 feet. Stops will be made for photo opportunities & lunch on our own. A short visit to the Devils Tower will be made. Our lodging this evening will be in Deadwood, SD. This evening will be free to enjoy Deadwood at our leisure.

Day 6

Following breakfast, our day will begin with a trip down Historic Main Street in Deadwood, where a legend of the west, Wild Bill Hickok, was shot and killed. You will hear about Deadwood's beginnings, the founding of the town, where it got its name, and Custer's expedition through the hills which led to the gold rush that started it all. A stop at Mt. Moriah Cemetery will allow a visit to the gravesite of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane and a view of Deadwood from 300 feet above! Next, we will visit magnificent Mount Rushmore where the heads of our four greatest Presidents - Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt - loom off the face of a 600-foot granite mountain. Enjoy lunch on your own during our visit to Mount Rushmore. We'll also visit the Chief Crazy Horse Carving which will be the largest statue in the world when completed. Later we will visit Custer State Park which is the habitat for one of the world's largest free-roaming bison herds. A Jeep Tour of the park and a buffalo dinner will also be enjoyed before we check-in to our Custer, SD lodging.

Customers are urged to leave their checked luggage unlocked, which will avoid the potential need for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel to forcibly open bags that require further inspection.  Plastic zip ties or cable ties may be used if desired.

Customers are asked to:

  • Pack footwear on top of other contents

  • Put personal belongings in clear plastic bags to reduce chances of TSA Screeners having to handle them

  • Spread out - NOT stack - books

  • Leave gifts unwrapped should screening require them to be opened

  • Put scissors, pocket knives and other sharp items in checked luggage

  • Put film in carry-on bag because screening equipment will damage undeveloped film

  • Avoid over-packing your bag so that the screener will be able to easily reseal your bag if it is opened for inspection
