Virginia Holidays - Norfolk & Virginia Beach

Day 1

We travel south to the Norfolk and Virginia Beach region of Virginia. With stops for rest and lunch enroute, we arrive in Norfolk and check in to our hotel before a step-on guided tour of the city this afternoon. This evening, we board the Spirit of Norfolk for a Holiday Dinner Cruise along the Elizabeth River, taking in the sights of the riverfront while enjoying an elegant buffet dinner. Afterwards we'll head the award-winning Virginia Beach boardwalk for the "Holiday Lights at the Beach", a popular light show featuring a variety of holiday scenes enjoyed from the comfort of our motorcoach.

Day 2

Following breakfast, we travel to the Military Aviation Museum and a guided tour of their World War I and World War II era fighter jets. The heroes who built, flew and maintained America's military aircraft are honored through their stories, and the exhibits of history, science, service and sacrifice. After an included boxed lunch, we head to the Virginia Beach Christmas Market and The Christmas Mouse for an afternoon of holiday shopping. Dinner will be included at a local restaurant before a visit to the Norfolk Botanical Garden and their "Million Bulb Walk". A mile-long path of themed displays and dazzling bulbs, but not flower bulbs…light bulbs!

Day 3

After breakfast, our morning begins with a Holiday Tour at the Chrysler Museum of Art, and a Perry Glass Art demonstration. This afternoon there will be time for lunch on our own and holiday shopping at Town Point Parks' Yuletide Market, followed by an ice cream cone making demonstration and sweet treat at Doumer's, the original creator of the Waffle Cone. Dinner will be included at a local restaurant before we continue with the holiday festivities this evening, first with WinterFest on the Wisconsin. We'll walk along the decks of the World War II era battleship, decked out in Christmas lights and decorations for a Christmas experience we'll never forget! The evening concludes with a live professional stage performance of A Christmas Carol at the historic Wells Theater in Downtown Norfolk.

Day 4

Following breakfast, we depart our hotel and make a stop at the Maymont Merry Market in Richmond, VA. More than 70 local artisans offering a variety of hand-made gifts to keep our spirits bright before heading home. With stops for rest and lunch enroute, our arrival home is scheduled for later evening.

Motorcoach seating is assigned at the time of reservation but cannot be guaranteed. Although we do our best to keep each traveler in the seat assigned at the time of reservation, there are times that it is necessary to move seat locations. Please be sure to verify your final seat number(s) with your driver at the time of boarding. Historically, daily seat rotation was practiced on most multi-day tours. We have suspended this practice for a period of time. Seat rotation will be explained by your driver or tour escort if reinstated.
