Day 1

Today we will head to Ohio's Amish country where we will stay for four nights at the Berlin Grande Hotel. Dinner will be included this evening at the Farmstead.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will meet our local guide for a fun day of touring. The first stop will be the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center where we will view a short film on the Amish history and see the awesome cyclorama mural on the Amish & Mennonite History. We are then off to the Farm at Walnut Creek for an hour wagon ride through the 120-acre farm to view and feed the animals from the wagon. Lunch will be on your own at the Walnut Creek Cheese Café followed by a stop at the Walnut Creek Broom to watch a broom making demo. We will return to the hotel for time to freshen up before departing for dinner at David Warther Museum in Sugarcreek. David is the grandson of Mooney Warther, World's Master Carver. David will personally take us through his collection and workshop followed by a sit-down dinner with him and his wife.

Day 3

Following breakfast, we will meet up with our guide for another full day of touring. The first stop is Lamp & Light Candle. Next stop will be at Troyer Homemade Candies where we will get six buckeye candies to take home. We will then take a factory tour of Homestead Furniture. Watch the Amish craftsmen create the beautiful wood furniture by using their own generated power off the grid. Lunch will be a traditional Amish light church meal similar to what they serve at their homes every other Sunday. After our meal we will depart to the Gallery to see the finished furniture products. As we make our way back to the hotel we will stop at Coblentz Leather to visit another Amish family and learn of their business. Dinner this evening will be an Amish Wedding Style Feast where we will learn about their traditions and customs.

Day 4

Today, following breakfast, we will depart with our guide to Hershberger Farm Market and Bakery to purchase goodies to take along home. A stop at Lehman's Hardware where thousands of high-quality items, many of which you might think were not being made any longer are available. It's like going to a museum and being able to buy the exhibits. Next at the Dutch Kitchen we will make cream sticks and have lunch on your own. This afternoon we will stop at P. Graham Dunn Woodworking and Laser Art Gallery and Hershberger's Baskets before return to the hotel to freshen up for dinner and a show at the Amish Country Theater.

Day 5

Today we leave "The Amish Way" with wonderful memories of our visit to Ohio's Amish Country. Arrival home will be early evening.
