Day 3

After breakfast we will head to Weston, WV, home to Appalachian Glass. Here, three generations keep the glass blowing tradition alive. The studio currently produces high quality mouth-blown, hand-crafted glass. Their glass crafting staff consists of Matt Turner, Chip Turner, Todd Turner and from time to time visiting Glass Artist. After a glass blowing demonstration and question and answer time, you will be free to enjoy the gift shop to look for your special keepsake. An early lunch will be included in Weston prior to departing for Philippi, WV. Here we will see the Philippi Covered Bridge, the site of the first land battle of the Civil War, and will take a walk across this piece of U.S. history. This afternoon we will enjoy an organ concert at the International Mother's Day Shrine in Grafton, WV. We must then say farewell with many happy memories having been made on our mountain music and rails tour of West Virginia.
