Day 4

The highlight of the tour is today - Mackinac Island. Our visit will begin with a tour of the island. Automobiles are not permitted; therefore, our sightseeing will be by horse drawn carriages. Many ravines, natural bridges, and strange rock formations will be seen. We will also visit Old Fort Mackinac, sitting high on a bluff above the harbor, and dating from 1780. Following our tour, we will check-in at the Lake View Hotel, our lodging for the night that is brimming with Victorian charm, 19th-century architecture, and modern amenities. Conveniently located on Main Street in downtown Mackinac Island, the hotel is casual and carefree, boasting an island-style atmosphere. It is just steps from the island's best entertainment, shopping, and dining.
