In June of each year, the first and largest summer event on the island, The Mackinac Island Lilac Festival, attracts thousands of visitors for this 10-day celebration. Event festivities include nature tours, walking tours with a lilac expert, art shows, numerous concerts, free admission to the Mackinac Art Museum, and so much more.

Pennsylvania springtime panorama will provide the sights as we travel westward to our lodging for the evening in Maumee, Ohio. Dinner this evening will be included at a local restaurant.
DDay 2
An early departure will begin the day as we travel into Michigan with arrival in Mackinaw City by mid-afternoon. Here we will board a ferry that will take us to Mackinac Island to enjoy the Lilac Festival and a 2-night stay. Celebrating Mackinac's lilac collection began in 1949, with the idea to bring people to the island to enjoy the lovely lilacs that fragrance the island in June. With a full schedule, this event has now blossomed into a 10-day festival. Later we will check-in to the newest hotel on the island, Bicycle Street Inn & Suites. After dinner, the remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy how you wish.
Day 3
This morning, after a continental breakfast, we will enjoy a carriage tour of the Island. Enjoy the history, views, and beauty of the island as we view the Surrey Hill Square Carriage Museum, Arch Rock, Avenue of the Flags, and more. Lunch will be included at the Grand Hotel, which overlooks the world's longest porch, the hotel's many American Flags and as well as the glistening straits of Mackinac. The remainder of the day and evening is at your leisure to enjoy the island.
Day 4
Today we will check-out and board the ferry back to Mackinaw City. Once back on land, we will depart for Frankenmuth, Michigan, known for its Bavarian-style architecture. This afternoon you will have time to browse the world's largest Christmas store, Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. After checking-in to our hotel, the Bavarian Inn Lodge, we will enjoy a delightful evening with light entertainment and delicious cuisine.
CB, DDay 5
This morning, after breakfast, a step-on guide will show us the highlights of Frankenmuth. We will view the Silent Night Chapel, Holz-Brücke Wooden Bridge, St. Lorenz Church, historic houses on Franklin Street and drive through downtown. After free time for lunch on your own, we will depart for Westlake, Ohio, the location of our lodging for this evening. Dinner this evening will be included at a local restaurant.
B, DDay 6
Today we check-out and depart for home. With stops for lunch and rest, arrival home is scheduled for early evening.
