Known as the "Witch City", there are different stories circulating regarding haunted legends, haunted folklore, and more in this historically noted "spooky" city.
Salem was the capital of the Massachusetts Bay Colony from its founding in 1626. By the end of the 18th century, Salem was a prosperous shipping center. Ships from this port brought back rare and costly cargoes from around the world. Many handsome old homes in the area are reminiscent of the seafaring days. Salem is best known for the infamous witch trials of 1692. More than 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft, the Devil's magic, and 20 were executed. Eventually, the colony admitted the trials were a mistake and compensated the families of those convicted. Since then, the story of the trials has become synonymous with paranoia and injustice, and it continues to beguile the popular imagination more than 300 years later. We will learn about this horrific time in our history through tours, museum stops and even a theatrical performance depicting the trials.

Sit back and enjoy the scenery as we head towards Boston to Quincy Market. Here you will be able to get dinner before we board the Ghosts and Gravestones Trolley Tour of Boston. Hear all about Boston's darker side! In a city nearly four hundred years old - troubled with war, murderers, strife and the occasional bout of stray molasses, it is hardly any wonder that Boston remains one of the most haunted cities in America and stories of the glory days of Colonial Boston only scratch the surface of Boston's darker side. Venture to the site of the biggest grave-robbing scandal in New England's history...ask yourselves "Are you afraid to be buried alive?". Walk atop Boston's largest unmarked burying ground and hear tales of the tortures, punishments and executions that took place there…see Boston's most haunted hotel - the Omni Parker House. After the trolley tour we will check-in to our lodging for the next two nights.
Following breakfast, we will meet our guide and travel to Salem for a day of touring. We will begin with a historic walking tour of Salem that gives guests a great overview of the city. This walking tour includes information on the illustrious spice trade history and more, walking past historic landmarks, and learning about the wonderful shops, restaurants and more! We will then visit the Salem Witch Museum to witness the testimony of the hysterical girls, the suffering of the blameless victims and the decisions of the fanatical judges who sent innocent people to their deaths. The presentation is based on actual trial documents. Through the 13 stage sets, you will enter the web of lies and intrigue of the Salem Witch Hunt, one of the most enduring true stories in American History. We will have free time for lunch on your own before a visit to Gallows Hill for the main show. It's an incredible mix of special effects, actors, costumes, story-telling, diversions, exhilarating experiences, surprises, jump scares, blended with historical facts about the Salem Witch Trials, ghosts and local legends. You will have some free time in Salem before our next activity, where we will embark on a Haunted Happenings Cruise. This fun-filled 75-minute cruise includes tarot readings and live stories of local pirates, haunted islands, and living sea monsters! Full bar and fresh eats onboard!
