Chanticleer Gardens & Delaware Art Museum

Day 1

The day begins with a guided tour of Chanticleer Garden. Once the Rosengarten estate, today's Chanticleer is a colorful, contemporary garden within a historic setting. The garden is a study of textures and forms, where foliage trumps flowers, the gardeners lead the design, and even the drinking fountains are sculptural. Next, we make our way to the Delaware Art Museum for an included boxed lunch and a guided tour. After the tour, there will be free time to explore the museum at your own pace. Known for its outstanding collections of American art and illustration, as well as British Pre-Raphaelite art, the museum houses about 12,000 works of art!

A brief meal stop will be made enroute home. The cost of the meal is not included in the cost of the tour.

Lunch Options

1. Kaffenia Ham Sandwich - ham, cheese, pickle, tomato, lettuce with house mayo on croissant
2. Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich - curry chicken salad, red grapes, lettuce on croissant
3. Caprese Sandwich - mozzarella, basil, roasted red pepper with house vegetable spread on toasted flatbread (V)
4. Curry Chicken Salad - chicken salad, tomato, cucumber, shaved carrot on spring mix lettuce with balsamic vinaigrette (V)
5. Greek Quinoa Salad - organic quinoa, kalamata olives, red onion, cucumbers, cherry tomato, feta cheese on spring mix with greek vinaigrette (V) (GF)
6. Beet Salad - organic beet, candied pecans, dried cranberry, goat cheese, mandarin on arugula with balsamic vinaigrette (V) (GF)
Sandwiches include chips. All selections include seasonal fruit, cookie, and a bottle of water.
Coffee, tea, and soft drinks are available for purchase in the cafe.
