Day 1

Today we begin our southern journey, stopping in Richmond, VA to visit Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and its extensive collection of arts! You will see art that spans over 6,000 years of history and represents many different cultures. We will also explore the famed Faberge galleries, including five Imperial Eggs, making it the largest collection of Faberge Eggs outside of Russia! Tonight's lodging will be near the city of Richmond, VA. Dinner will be at your leisure. You can enjoy the free Kickback Dinner offered at the hotel or venture out to a restaurant near the hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, we continue south. We will stop in Henrico, VA at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, which offers year-round beauty on its historic property. This 50-acre botanical garden is just outside of Richmond, VA and features a library, café, and over a dozen themed gardens including the Rose Garden, Asian Valley, and Cherry Tree Walk. The property's classic domed Conservatory is the only one of its kind in the mid-Atlantic. Lunch will be on your own at their Garden Café. Afterward, we will head to Asheville, NC, the location of our lodging for the next two evenings. Dinner will be at your leisure.

Day 3

Following breakfast, we will begin a full day at the Biltmore Estate, starting with free time to explore the estate's seasonal beauty in the Gardens and Conservatory, showcased with a stunning tulip display in the Walled Garden, cascades of native & exotic blooms in the natural gardens and walking trails. Lunch will be included afterward at their Stable Café, followed by a self-guided audio tour of the Biltmore House. This 250-room Châteauesque-style mansion was built between 1889 and 1895 and is the largest privately owned home in the United States! From there, we will visit Antler Hill Winery & Village where you'll have free time to visit the Creamery, barn & farmyard, Biltmore Legacy museum, and shops. Dinner will be at your leisure.

Day 4

This morning after breakfast, we will re-enter the Biltmore Estate to allow you to re-visit the Gardens & Conservatory at the Biltmore House. Interior access will not be available at this time. Lunch will be on your own at the estate. By early afternoon, we will head north for our overnight accommodations in Roanoke, VA. Dinner will be at your leisure.

Day 5

We will begin our journey home with a stop at Luray Caverns. While there you will be able to visit the largest caverns in the eastern United States, along with the Car & Carriage Caravan Museum and Shenandoah Heritage Village Museum. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing our journey home.

Motorcoach seating is assigned at the time of reservation but cannot be guaranteed. Although we do our best to keep each traveler in the seat assigned at the time of reservation, there are times that it is necessary to move seat locations. Please be sure to verify your final seat number(s) with your driver at the time of boarding. Historically, daily seat rotation was practiced on most multi-day tours. We have suspended this practice for a period of time. Seat rotation will be explained by your driver or tour escort if reinstated.
