Spend the day exploring local history, heritage, and culture beginning with a city highlights tour and a visit to the Museum of the North. Enjoy free time downtown for lunch and shopping, then embark on a cruise on the Chena River aboard an old-fashioned sternwheeler. This evening your time in Fairbanks is on your own. You could enjoy a hearty frontier meal at a local restaurant or at a dinner theater that tells the story of the gold rush through musical comedy. Overnight at Sophie Station Suites.

Day 3

Take in the spectacular scenery from the glass-domed railcars of the Wilderness Express on the train trip to Denali. Later this afternoon, the wonders of Denali are yours to explore. Your Adventure Specialist can recommend optional excursions, from guided hikes to adventures like flight sight seeing trips or rafting down the Nenana River. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

Day 4

The Tundra Wilderness Tour takes you deep into Denali National Park along its lone road for the best chances at seeing wildlife. After your tour, spend time at the museum-like visitor center or take advantage of the biking and hiking trails that begin near the park entrance. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

There's time to walk the trails around the lodge before boarding the Wilderness Express heading to Talkeetna. Enjoy a free evening in this funky small town. Locals and visitors mix and mingle in the restaurants, brew pubs, cafes, and shops along the historic main street. Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Day 6

The day is free for your style of adventure in this hub for outdoor fun. Your Adventure Specialist can recommend optional activities. Then, relax and take in the views from the Wilderness Express on the scenic rail journey into Anchorage. Day 7

Discover the state's diverse indigenous traditions on a guided tour of the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Then enjoy free time downtown for lunch, shopping, or just strolling around before the drive along the Turnagain Arm and along the Chugach Mountains to the coast. Your Adventure Specialist will wish you bon voyage as you say goodbye at the ship terminal. Welcome aboard Radiance of the Seas!

Acknowledgment

Health Acknowledgment
Exposure to pathogens (such as the virus that causes COVID-19) is an inherent risk in places where people gather and may result in severe illness or death. Exposure may occur at any point during your voyage, onboard or ashore. Remaining onboard at all times during your voyage will not prevent exposure because pathogens may be brought onboard by others, including passengers who choose to participate in shore excursions or activities ashore in the various ports of calls or private destinations. The cruise line's health and safety measures mitigate the risk of exposure but cannot eliminate it entirely. Before booking or sailing on a cruise, all guests should consider their individual risk level for severe illness resulting from pathogen exposure and make an informed travel decision on that basis. We recommend guests with a higher risk of severe illness consult with their doctor prior to booking or sailing.
By booking a cruise with us, on behalf of yourself and/or others for whom you are acting (collectively “you” or “your”), you acknowledge that you understand the risks related to exposure to pathogens and their resulting illnesses while cruising, including those relating to guests who are at a higher risk of severe illness. Further, you agree to review and comply with the cruise line's Guest Health, Safety and Conduct Policy, as well any of their health or safety instructions, or other posted signage. Failure to do so will lead to you being denied boarding or may constitute cause for your removal, as well as the denial of boarding or removal of your traveling party, from the vessel. Finally, you acknowledge that we and/or the cruise line will collect and use personal information, including health information, in connection with these measures, and may disclose it to health or port authorities, if required.

Customers are asked to:

  • NOT pack food or beverages in checked bags

  • Pack footwear on top of other contents

  • Put personal belongings in clear plastic bags to reduce chances of TSA Screeners having to handle them

  • Spread out - NOT stack - books

  • Leave gifts unwrapped should screening require them to be opened

  • Put scissors, pocket knives and other sharp items in checked luggage

  • Put film in carry-on bag because screening equipment will damage undeveloped film

  • Avoid over packing your bag so that the screener will be able to easily reseal your bag if it is opened for inspection
