Day 2

After breakfast, we will visit Cooper's Cave, the site of the fictional hiding places made famous in James Fenimore Cooper's novel "The Last of the Mohicans." We will then meet our step-on guide for a sightseeing driving tour around the Lake George area. Lunch will be on own today. This afternoon, we will board the Horicon for a 1-hour narrated sightseeing boat cruise through the stunning bays of Lake George. Following our cruise, we will depart for the main event, the Adirondack Balloon Festival. See up to 70 balloons take flight against the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Dinner will be included afterwards.

Day 3

After breakfast, our day will begin with a visit to Oscar's Smokehouse, a family-run business known for their high-quality smoked meats and cheeses since 1943. During our visit, we will hear stories and learn about the Smokehouse's history. Next will be a relaxing scenic gondola experience on the Gore Mountain Sky Ride, with breathtaking views of the Southern Adirondacks and High Peaks. Lunch will be included today. Our afternoon adventure begins with a 7-mile rail bike journey. A leisurely pedal along reclaimed railway tracks is an ideal outdoor experience to enjoy more breathtaking views of nature, at a comfortable pace. The highlight of the trip is crossing a spectacular trestle bridge over the Hudson River. A rest stop will be made along the riverbank before the return journey. (Not everyone needs to pedal, and it is not strenuous.) Later this afternoon, we will arrive at the balloon field for Balloon Night. Dinner will be on own during the festival.

With stops for rest along the way, arrival home is scheduled for early this evening.
