This morning we depart on our 12-day journey traveling south to Dublin, Virginia and our overnight accommodations. We will make a short attraction stop enroute along Interstate 81.
Saturday, March 17
After a continental breakfast we will check out of the hotel and continue southwest to Birmingham, Alabama, the location of our lodging for this evening. Enroute we will stop in Chattanooga, Tennessee to stretch our legs and enjoy some sights. CB
Sunday, March 18
Today after breakfast we depart on the last leg of our journey to New Orleans, LA. Upon arrival we will visit the National WWII Museum, which tells the story of the American Experience in the war that changed the world – why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means. We will then check in to our New Orleans accommodations. This evening is yours to get acquainted with this culturally diverse city steeped in history and brimming with culinary legacies of flavor. B
Monday, March 19
Breakfast at the hotel will get our day started. We will then enjoy a city tour of New Orleans with a step-on guide. Celebrate New Orleans’ unabashed and unapologetic joy and experience the city from a first-person perspective. Later this afternoon you will board the American Queen…warm, inviting and comforting and ready to take you away on vacation! The American Queen is the world’s largest, most opulent authentic steam-powered paddlewheel riverboat. You will be transported not just through America, but also through time. B, D

St. Francisville, Louisiana is on our schedule for today. The quaint town is your window into the past. Historic buildings, uniquely southern shops and the historical society’s museum will immerse you in the southern culture, both past and present. B, L, D
Thursday, March 22
Today we visit Natchez, MS where the captivating historic district shines in the lovingly-restored antebellum mansions of Magnolia Hall, Rosalie Mansion and the William Johnson House. The plantations lifestyle of the south is highlighted today on your included tour. ’s. B, L, D
Friday, March 23
Vicksburg, MS is our port of call today where southern hospitality is alive and well and awaiting your arrival. Thousands of tombstones which mark the fallen in Vicksburg reflect the tragic sacrifices of the Civil War. Today we will learn the history and culture of this historic river town during your hop-on-hop-off tour. B, L, D

Today you can sit back and relax as we enjoy the sights and sounds of river cruising. B, L, D
Sunday, March 25
Quaint Helena would appear to be a town that time forgot, but today it is in the throes of a revival. Experience the best of this small southern town. B, L, D
Monday, March 26
Today we arrive in Memphis, where we disembark the American Queen. After disembarkation, we depart for Abingdon, Virginia, the location of our lodging for this evening. B
Tuesday, March 27
Today we complete our homeward journey arriving back in Pennsburg by early evening. CB
