Sunday, October 28

This morning we will stop at the Turkey Hill Experience which features interactive exhibits allowing you to learn about dairy culture, the story of Turkey Hill Dairy, and how the company's ice cream and iced tea flavors are selected and created. You will truly experience what it's like to be a Turkey Hill Dairy ice cream maker for a day, including the opportunity to create your own virtual ice cream flavor. Since we started with dessert, it's time for brunch at the John Wright Restaurant in Wrightsville. After brunch we will visit the Sunrise Soap Company in York. Later this afternoon we will check into the Best Western Hotel in Gettysburg followed by dinner at the Dobbin House. We will then have a house ghost tour and hear stories in the cellar at the Farnsworth House. Next we will walk inside the Haunted Orphanage, where innocent children were tortured by a cruel and abusive matron. Venture into the Jennie Wade House, site of the Battle's only civilian death, and where something lingers still.BR, D

This morning, following breakfast, we will visit the Gettysburg Heritage Center and Museum. This is an educational and entertaining experience for all ages. Learn what the Battle of Gettysburg meant to the people who lived here during the war. We will meet up with a step on guide for a two hour tour of the battlefield. Lunch will be included following the tour at General Pickett's Buffet. Next we will travel back in time with a guide in period attire as we walk through the Shriver House, a meticulously restored 1860 home to learn the other side of the story - the civilian side of the Battle of Gettysburg. We will depart from home later this afternoon.B, L
