Friday, July 22
Sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful New England scenery as we travel north to our lodging in St. Albans, Vermont at the LaQuinta Inn. We will make a stop for dinner prior to arrival.
Saturday, July 23
Today following a continental breakfast we will depart with our local guide to see how the huggable bears are made at Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. Lunch and free time to shop and browse in Stowe, a quaint Vermont Village known for the “”Most photographed Church Steeple in New England”. Then we’re off to take the tour and taste at Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. We will have a late afternoon, narrated, 1-1/2 hour cruise on Lake Champlain. Dinner will be included this evening at a local restaurant. CB, D
Sunday, July 24
This morning we will depart with our local guide to tour through the Lake Champlain Islands where Samuel de Champlain discovered Vermont. We will enjoy pastoral & pristine Lake views; known for having the oldest coral reef in the world. We will then stop at Saint Anne’s Shrine on the Lake, where Vermont was discovered in 1609! Lunch will be included in the Lake Champlain Islands followed by a tour and tasting at Snow Farm Vineyard. Then it’s off to Allenholm Farm to learn about this family farm and the variety of animals they raise. We will enjoy pie and ice cream along with a tractor-drawn wagon ride through the orchards. This evening we will have dinner at a local restaurant.
Monday, July 25
After breakfast we will begin our journey homeward with fond memories of our Lake Champlain Islands experience. Our arrival home will be early evening. CB
