After our breakfast, we will depart with a local guide to the Vermont Institute of Natural Science Ecology & Raptor Center. Here we can explore the exhibits on Vermont’s nature and wildlife, raptors, owls, hawks or falcons, at this new facility in Quechee. We will then have free time in Woodstock to have lunch on own and browse some of the quaint shops. Our afternoon will be spent at the Quechee Balloon Festival where you will be able to enjoy the local crafters, artisans, food vendors and entertainment such as live music, dance routines and comedy acts. We will be able to see many of the colorful balloons both up close on the ground, as well as in the air. For those who are adventurous, tethered rides will be available at your cost. You will be able to have dinner at the festival on your own before watching the evening balloon launch. We’ll return to the lodge for time to unwind and relax. B
