Monday, October 3
Central Ohio is the land of the largest Amish settlement in the world. Our tour will center on Holmes and Wayne counties as we leave the 20th Century behind and enter into the world of Amish country where we will stay for four nights at the Schoenbrunn Inn. We will enjoy an Amish family style dinner at an Amish home. D

Tuesday, October 4
Today we will depart with a local guide for a back roads tour of our Amish Countryside with a stop at Farmerstown Furniture and Hershberger’s Homestyle Bakery. We will then visit “Behalt”, the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center. Lunch will be on your own at the Farmstead Restaurant. We will continue touring to Coblentz Chocolates, Yoder’s Amish Home and School House, and Lamp & Light Candles. Tonight we will enjoy a German dinner at Chalet in the Valley. CB, D

Wednesday, October 5
Today we’ll travel to Mansfield to the Living Bible Museum. This museum features life-sized dioramas of the Old and New Testament stories, a collection of rare Bibles and woodcarvings. Lunch will be on your own followed by a visit to Care & Share Baskets. The items in this store are mostly made by handicapped people and we may be able to observe them making baskets. We will have time to visit Lehman’s Hardware and P. Graham Dunn before our family style dinner at Der Dutchman’s followed by The Sound of Praise. CB, D

Thursday, October 6
This morning we depart with our guide to tour Warther Carvings. Here we will see the incredible wood carvings of trains in walnut, ebony and ivory. Then we’ll visit the Rolling Ridge Ranch where we will see 300 animals from over six continents. Lunch will be on your own at Dutch Valley Restaurant. Following lunch, we’ll enjoy the fall colors on a private cruise at beautiful Atwood Lake. A tour of the J.E. Reeves Home, a restored turn of the century mansion, with dinner included at the Carriage House will conclude our day. CB, D

Friday, October 7
Today we leave “The Amish Way” having been both educated and entertained. Arrival home will be early evening. CB
