After breakfast we’ll visit the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center. Since the Ice Age ended, the Falls have been the scene of constant change. Through interactive displays, fossil and rock specimens, a multi-screen presentation and an exciting elevator ride, you’ll see how plant and animal life developed and rivers and lakes were created. We will then visit the Aquarium of Niagara. More than 1,500 aquatic animals are on display here including penguins, California sea lions, piranhas, seals, eels and sharks. Enjoy the beautiful Niagara River scenic drive on the way to the historic village of Lewiston for lunch on your own at a variety of local restaurants. Following lunch we will visit the Power Vista Visitors Center at the Robert Moses Power Plant for a spectacular view of the lower Niagara River Gorge, Major Niagara Diorama and hands on exhibits. Next we will tour Old Fort Niagara built in 1726 and located on the shore of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario, featuring uniformed soldiers, musket firings and the newly restored historic American Flag from the War of 1812 displayed in the Visitors Center.
