Enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery as we travel to Middlebury Inn, Vermont, the location of our lodging for the next three evenings. Upon arrival at the Inn we will be greeted by a welcoming staff who will serve us refreshments. A Wine & Cheese Party followed by dinner and entertainment awaits us this evening at the Inn. D
Friday, September 25
Today, following breakfast, we will meet in the Lobby for a group photo before departing for Dakin Farm, a Vermont products store. Next we will learn how the famous Vermont Green Mountain Coffee is made and why it is the fastest growing company in Vermont. Lunch will be included at Millstone Hill Lodge and then it’s off to Rock of Ages for our own sandblasting experience. Afterwards, we will become the live studio audience of the New England Cooks Show. Here we will work with the filming crew to make this televised cooking show happen! Dinner will be included at the Inn this evening. B, L, D
Saturday, September 26
After breakfast we’ll travel to Champlain Valley Alpaca Farm where we will enjoy a lesson on spinning wool. Next, it’s Danforth Pewter as we watch spinners bring this soft metal to life. Lunch will be on our own in downtown Middlebury. We will then have a factory tour of Maple Landmark Toys, home of the NAME TRAINS. Our next stop will be wine tasting at Lincoln Peak Vineyard. This evening, dinner will be enjoyed at Roland’s Restaurant, a 1796 house. B, D
Sunday, September 27
After breakfast we will begin our journey home, with stops for rest and a meal along the way. B
