Sunday, September 13
A morning departure has you heading south. Check into your motel and enjoy dinner at one of Virginia Beach’s finest restaurants. D

Monday, September 14
After breakfast, board your motorcoach and travel to Colonial Williamsburg where you will meet your guide for a tour of Virginia’s first capital. In the afternoon, visit the Hampton Roads Naval Museum and go aboard the USS Wisconsin Battleship. Once again, dinner will be at another fine restaurant in Virginia Beach. B,D

Tuesday, September 15
Enjoy breakfast, and then depart for a tour of Norfolk’s Naval Base. Here you will have a guided tour of the world’s largest naval installation. Later, continue to the Waterside Complex where you can enjoy lunch at your leisure and browse through this waterfront structure. In the afternoon, visit the General Douglas MacArthur Memorial. There is a 20-minute film which details events of the life of General MacArthur, then you can spend some time wandering through the Memorial Building where MacArthur is buried and which houses many of his mementos from throughout his career. After your visit to the Memorial, you will board the Spirit of Norfolk for a narrated cruise featuring a delicious buffet meal and entertainment as you sail along the Elizabeth River. B,D

Wednesday, September 16
Following breakfast, depart for a visit to Fort Monroe where you will enjoy a tour through the Fort which has been occupied since 1823. Also included is a tour of the Casemate Museum, site of the prison cell where Confederate President Jefferson Davis was confined until 1867. Return to Virginia Beach for a leisurely afternoon at the beach or pool. Dinner and entertainment will complete your day. B,D

Thursday, September 17
After breakfast, we’ll check out and begin our journey home. B
