Join Perkiomen on this five day getaway. We’ll be attending the Annual Maine Lobster Festival at Harbor Park, overlooking the picturesque waterfront and beautiful Penobscot Bay.

Thursday, July 30
Today we travel to Freeport, Maine. Upon arrival we will check into the Hilton Garden Inn.

Friday, July 31
After our continental breakfast at the hotel, we will have a guided tour of the Desert of Maine. We will then visit DeLorme Map which features Eartha exhibit, the world’s largest revolving globe and hands-on world mapping exhibits. Your afternoon is free to explore Freeport’s many stores. Dinner will be at the historic Jamestown Tavern. B, D

Saturday, August 1
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Rockland, Maine and the Maine Lobster Festival. A fun filled event where feasting and festivities perfectly complement each other. Enjoy the big parade down Main Street, featuring the Sea Goddess, King Neptune and his court, along with a variety of bands, marching units, colorful floats and more. The lobster serving begins at 11:00am. Additional activities include tours of Navy ships and US Coast Guard cutters, scenic train rides, Maine maritime exhibits and demonstrations, a wide variety of musical performances, a juried art show along Main Street, the blindfold rowboat race and more! Following our time at the Lobster Festival we will enjoy a guided tour of Rockport/Camden with a photo stop atop Mt. Battie at Camden Hills State Park. We will enjoy a lobster choice dinner before returning to our hotel for the evening. B, D

Sunday, August 2
Breakfast is again included at the hotel this morning. Today we will enjoy a tour of the Maine Maritime Museum. Maine’s maritime history is told here daily through gallery exhibits, an historic shipyard, educational programs and narrated boat cruises to points of historic significance and natural beauty. We then travel to Boothbay Harbor for free time to shop and get a bite to eat. Enjoy a whale watch cruise with Cap’n Fish’s Cruises later this afternoon. Dinner will again be lobster choice this evening in Boothbay Harbor. B, D

Monday, August 3
After breakfast at the hotel we must depart for home. With wonderful memories of our Lobster getaway, we will arrive home by early evening. B
