Get an up close look at the safe keepers of the Long Island Sound, each having a story to tell, while cruising in the harbors of Coastal Fairfield County. Your New England experience will be complete with the feast we know of as a Lobster bake. This morning we will enjoy a guided tour of Lyndhurst, one of America’s finest Gothic Revival mansions and a remarkable example of the Hudson River’s grand and historic estates. We will visit the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk and IMAX Theatre this afternoon, before checking into our Norwalk, CT lodging for two nights. We will then enjoy a lobster bake. D
Friday, July 3
Today after an included breakfast, whether you’re a lighthouse fan, bird lover, photographer or just want to sit back and enjoy a relaxing time on the water, this cruise is for you. On this five-hour cruise you will have the opportunity to snap some close-up pictures of the lighthouses and also see some wonderful bird life. We will then visit the Shore Line Trolley Museum. The museum boasts a collection of vintage vehicles chosen to represent the history and technology of the trolley car era. Dinner will be included this evening. B, D
Saturday, July 4
After breakfast, we’ll spend time at Captain’s Cove Seaport. A harbor cruise is included with a view of two lighthouses, one of which is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former keeper. Then we will take a tour of Dundon House, a Victorian beauty. We will have free time for lunch before departing for home. B
