Thursday, April 23 & Friday, April 24
Today we depart for the beautiful city of Thomasville, Georgia and the incredible Rose Festival. Our first night’s lodging will be in Lumberton, North Carolina. Continuing south we arrive in Thomasville late afternoon. Thomasville is a storybook town whose wide, brick-paved streets are lined with oak, dogwood and long leaf pine. The town still maintains its many 19th century mansions and boasts an estimated 60,000 rose bushes. After checking into our lodging we will enjoy the annual Rose Parade. CB

Saturday, April 25
This morning we will visit Pebble Hill Plantation, a plantation that has existed since before the Civil War. Later we’ll visit Thomas County Museum of History, located in the heart of Thomasville’s Historic District. The many festivities and arts & crafts displays of the Rose Festival will complete our afternoon. This evening we will enjoy special entertainment. CB, L

Sunday, April 26
Today we check out and head south to Panama City, Florida. Enroute we will drive thru Tallahassee, Florida’s capital city. We will also visit Wakulla Springs State Park, situated in a beautiful cypress forest. We will enjoy a boat tour of the springs and lunch at the lodge. We continue to Panama City Beach, the location of our lodging for the next two evenings. CB, L

Monday, April 27
You may have this day free to enjoy relaxing on the white sandy beaches, shop or arrange a deep sea fishing excursion.

Tuesday, April 28
We depart Panama City Beach heading north to Columbus, Georgia where we will enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful old historic city. This evening our lodging will be at the Callaway Gardens Resort in Pine Mountain, Georgia. D

Wednesday, April 29
After breakfast we will enjoy a guided tour of Callaway Gardens. We must then check out and head for home. Our lodging for this evening is in Kannapolis, NC. B

Thursday, April 30
After breakfast at the hotel we continue our homeward journey. Arrival home is scheduled for early evening. CB
