$478 Double, $570 Single, $457 Triple, $444 Quad FIRST DAY
Ever since the 1860’s, Cape May has been one of the most popular seaside resorts in America. It was the vacation spot of choice for the rich and famous in the 1800’s and its turn of the century Victorian splendor is unmatched. Cape May still captivates visitors with its Victorian grandeur. This morning we depart on a three-day Christmas tour of Victorian Cape May. Enroute we will stop in Millville, NJ for a visit to Wheaton Village. Here you can view glassmakers at work and visit the Museum of American Glass. Upon arrival in Cape May we will enjoy a luncheon and tour of the Southern Mansion. This magnificently restored 40,000 square foot Italianate villa style mansion, circa 1863, features two ballrooms and original 19th century antique furnishings. We will then check into our lodging in Cape May at The Grand Hotel. Dinner and a holiday show at Elaine’s Dinner Theatre will conclude our day. L, D
SECOND DAY
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will enjoy Christmas at the Physick Estate. This Victorian house will be decked out in its Christmas finery and we will learn about the Christmas traditions of the 1890’s. We will then board the old time trolley for a guided tour of the historic east and west sides of Victorian Cape May. You will then have free time for lunch and shopping at the Washington Street Mall. This afternoon we will enjoy a guided tour of Cape May Point where we can climb the 199 steps to the top of the fully restored Lighthouse. An early dinner will be enjoyed at the hotel before our self guided Christmas Candlelight House Tour aboard the heated trolleys. Homes, inns, hotels and churches are specially decorated for the holidays with Christmas trees, garland and good old fashion cheer. We’ll visit hospitality centers with warm beverages and home baked goodies for all to enjoy. B, D
